Just saying CANCER can cause great fear and great concern. However, the more information we know, and the earlier we take steps to treat the cancer, the better our chances of being a cancer survivor. October is Breast Cancer awareness month. Here are some web sites for information on symptoms, prevention, and treatment. When cells in your body grow out of control, and the doctor tells you that you have cancer, a whole range of emotions are experienced from disbelief, “This can’t be happening to me! “ to “Why is this happening to me?” At such times your faith may be greatly tested. Thomas F. Fischer, M.Div.,M.S.A. wrote an article for Ministry Health entitled: “Tears of Trials: Reflections on Christian Suffering.” He wrote, “If God is for us –and He is-and if Christ lives in us-and He does-then the Christian’s experience of suffering is not an indicator that God has left or judged us. Instead, it is an indicator that God will be right with us to help us overcome whatever obstacles, difficulties or unbearable circumstances we might encounter.” Romans 8:35 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall troubles or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger
or sword?...No, in all things we are more than conquerors through him who
loved us.”
